Description

The Electric Three Zone Split Tube Furnace 1400 Degree OD 100, 1-500 Kg is built for heat treatment work that demands temperatures up to 1500 °C. The unit reaches any set point between 1000 °C and 1500 °C and holds it so that metals, powders or ceramics receive the same thermal history each run. A ceramic tube 1200 mm long contains a 250 mm region in which the temperature varies by less than ±5 °C. Three independent heater windings surround this tube - each zone has its own thermocouple and controller - the centre, left plus right sections can be set to the same value or to a deliberate gradient. The tube mount splits into two hinged halves - after the operator releases the clamps, the top half swings away and the work or boats slide in or out without the need to dismantle the furnace. Once the halves close, fibreglass seals limit heat loss at the joint. The furnace accepts loads from 1 kg to 500 kg - for light research samples the tube rests on a simple alumina cradle - for production batches a motorized bogie rolls the charge into position. The casing remains below 60 °C thanks to multilayer insulation and forced air cooling. An electric feeder panel supplies three phase power to silicon carbide rods. A programmable controller stores thirty ramps but also dwells - each segment sets rate, target temperature and hold time. Over temperature relays cut power if any zone exceeds the programmed limit.
